Moving In

Welcome to our Blog!  We thought it would be nice to start a blog where we can share our adventures discovering Boston with our friends and family near and far.

Our first adventure was moving in….

We moved in Monday 6/28. It was actually Em’s birthday, so quite a way to spend it. It was boiling hot (like 94 degrees hot), and we moved into a third floor apartment.

We owe our friends a big shout out here for being an awesome packing and unloading crew. Also, thanks to Caitlin S. for having a great sendoff party with us.

packed U-Haul

Our U-Haul with all our stuff. Packing coordinated by Jack Smooth and Seth with loading muscle by Elyse and Alyssa.

Aneudy

Super thanks to Aneuedy for helping us unload on the Boston end.

Us after unloading

This is us after unloading (re-enactment).

A week later, we are still recovering from the move, although we are in slightly better condition than what is pictured here. Note our matching T-shirts. We got them from when our friend, Camille came to visit us in Providence to run a 5k. Em ran with her. Camille is keeping a kickin’ blog about her challenge to run a 5k in each state before she turns 50. Coincidentally she chose the same weekend we moved to run a nude 5k in Vermont… yep, a much better choice than wearing the t-shirt.

Upcoming fun adventures include: July 4th in Boston, Kepler’s adaptation to Beantown, and trips to Ikea. Stay tuned!

Awesome. Thanks, Krissie. It’s mostly a matter of getting our stuff out of boxes and into proper storage at this point. Got a sleeper sofa coming from Ikea though – sometime next week, so hey, maybe we can have a furniture assembly party! Otherwise, definitely, you should come over once we get settled.

You two are too cute! I hope you have some AC (or at least a nice, cool nearby coffee shop) to get you through the next few days. I hear it’s going to be a scorcher!!!

We aren’t so psyched that you up & left.
You used to bring us the best clover snacks.
The summer seems so dreary in your absence.
