Air Travel Pet Peeve #1: Snorting

I clocked the fellow sitting next to me at 3.5 snorts per minute. While crying (wailing) babies came and went, the snorting was a constant aside from when this guy was eating. I didn’t notice him sleeping at all during the flight, so unfortunately, that didn’t stop the snorting.

Air travel seems to be a common setting in which I am overwhelmed by snorting. I suppose it’s one of the few situations in which one spends so much time surrounded by people who are not talking. I have a sympathetic reaction in which every time I hear someone snort, I feel the snot in my own throat resonate. That’s why it gives me the creeps.
